Dr Clarke a renown neurosurgeon, who works with Dalhousie University and the Nova Scotia Health Authority, explains the benefits he, and his team, receive from using PeriopSim to prepare and train for neurosurgery.
Dr Clarke is a long term innovator, supporter and advocate for simulated training in surgery and for the complete surgical team. PeriopSim provides training with a focus on the perioperative nurse.
In explaining his outlook Dr Clarke states: “At some point in the not-too-distant future, a patient will legitimately ask, ‘Why are you teaching that in the operating room on me as a patient? You should be teaching that in a simulated environment.'”
